Volunteers are needed from 4:00 p.m. until about 6:30 p.m. We organize\, serve a cafeteria-style meal\, beverages\, and pastries\, and then clean up afterward. St. Luke’s provides the food\, the Salvation Army provides the beverages\, and local bakeries provide the desserts.

Additionally\, because some of us need to limit our talking and some of us need to be encouraged to talk. We’re going to use a guardrail\, and that rail is the book we’ll use: Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future by Margaret Wheatley. It’s an older book (2002) that is widely available in several forms. The reading for each week will have three brief sections. One\, an essay about conversation; two\, a poem or an image; and three\, short conversation starters. Betsy Teays will facilitate.

But rather\, like Dr. King and\, more importantly\, Jesus said; the kind of radical love that may be the only thing that can finally overcome such radical sin.” \nThe group will is led by Karma Forbes and includes various mindfulness practices. DESCRIPTION:We’re offering this because all of us need to talk and because we all need to be listened to. Additionally\, because some of us need to limit our talking and some of us need to be encouraged to talk. We’re going to use a guardrail\, and that rail is the book we’ll use: Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future by Margaret Wheatley. It’s an older book (2002) that is widely available in several forms. The reading for each week will have three brief sections. One\, an essay about conversation; two\, a poem or an image; and three\, short conversation starters. Betsy Teays will facilitate.
