Five years ago, a vision for St. Luke’s grounds and courtyard emerged as a result of many conversations of the vestry, professional consultations, and parish meetings. Sketches were drawn to hold onto those conversations and vision until the right time. This may be that time, so we are considering these plans anew. Why? We have several maintenance needs that cannot wait much longer. We have desires for mission (how we invite and serve) that ought not wait. This Sunday we will recall the vision we had back then and begin its renewal, adding current voices for a new time. We are considering:

• Giving the Church and grounds a fresh, vibrant, & hospitable appearance
• Replacing all sidewalks and courtyard
• Installing a labyrinth for walking meditation in courtyard
• Installing a memorial garden for reflection in front of the church
• Replacing and adding to covered walkway
• Replacing and adding drought resistant plantings
• Lighting the church and stained glass at night
• Honoring those who have left material and legacy gifts to St. Luke’s

Some additional projects may be:

• Stabilizing Pritchard Hall so it does not continue to sink
• Updating interior spaces and functionality of Pritchard Hall
• Updating function, appearance, and heat loss of the Guild Hall
