We’re offering this because all of us need to talk and because we all need to be listened to. Additionally, because some of us need to limit our talking and some of us need to be encouraged to talk. We’re going to use a guardrail, and that rail is the book we’ll use: Turning to One Another: Simple Conversations to Restore Hope to the Future by Margaret Wheatley. It’s an older book (2002) that is widely available in several forms. The reading for each week will have three brief sections. One, an essay about conversation; two, a poem or an image; and three, short conversation starters. Betsy Teays will facilitate.
