COVID-19 Precautions
March 8, 2020
Dear St. Luke Parishioners,
We will celebrate our liturgies on Sunday at 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m..
We have taken precautions to maintain a high level of safety, including disinfecting high-use surfaces, removing the baptismal font, serving communion in one kind (bread only), and spreading out our seating.
We also need you to do your part:
- Please know that it is perfectly appropriate for you to stay home from church during this time of increased concern of COVID-19 (this is the only time you will hear me say that!).
- If you are ill or your health is compromised, please do remain at home and participate in church virtually. St. Mark’s Cathedral’s services may be live streamed: https://saintmarks.org/worship/live-stream/
- Consider staying home if you are over 60, you are immune-compromised, and/or you have underlying chronic medical conditions put you at higher risk of having serious complications from novel coronavirus.
- All should take the following precautions to prevent possible transmission before,
during, and after the liturgy:- Wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and water or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Cough or sneeze into the elbow or into a tissue. Throw away the tissue immediately after use and wash hands.
- Practice social distancing: avoid touching, hugging, or sharing utensils, and keep your distance.
Please stay in touch. Let us know if you have particular health concerns or care needs during this time.
Yours sincerely,
Fr. Kevin
